CPR Columbus’s Answers To Common Questions
Will I Get an Official American Heart Association Certification Card?
Yes! Every course we offer is American Heart Association (AHA) certified, and you will receive an official AHA Card the day of class. **WARNING: Be careful of many companies you find online because they may not be AHA certified. They may say their courses are “based on AHA”, but that is not being certified by the AHA. You have to read the fine print to uncover this deception. Also, know that there does not exist an AHA certification that can be completed entirely online. All AHA certifications require at a minimum an in-person, hands on skills check. The AHA offers a blended online option where you would complete the first part online, but then have to attend a hands-on skills check.
Are your classes Stress-Free?
Yes, absolutely! Our certified AHA instructors are trained and experienced at ensuring that every student is in a comfortable, relaxed, and welcoming environment. We believe this type of classroom allows for optimal learning. We also know that this will provide for a great personal experience that will encourage you to come back for your re-certification, as well as recommend us to others. We promise a high quality, stress-free certification process. We truly care about YOUR SUCCESS!
When do I get my Card?
You will receive your Card the Day of Class!
Is the Course Manual/Book Required?
Yes. The American Heart Association requires that every student has access to a book prior to, during and after class. You may purchase a book from us at checkout or bring your own. If you do not have one at the time of class, you can purchase one from us before class begins.
What if my Card is Expired?
If you have an expired ACLS or PALS card of more than 60 days, you will have to take the First Time ACLS or PALS course. However, if your card has been expired for less than 60 days you can take the ACLS or PALS Renewal course. The BLS Class and HeartSaver CPR and First Aid courses we offer are for those with expired cards, no card or soon to expire cards. These courses cover you regardless of your current certification status.
How Do I Reschedule a Class?
RESCHEDULING: You may reschedule a class, if necessary, by emailing us (info@CPRcolumbusOH.com) with that request before your scheduled class. If we do not receive a request from you prior to your class, we do not offer a refund and you may not reschedule. If you do not pass the course, we will allow you to study the materials and reschedule for a future class. We allow this as a courtesy one time only. If you are not successful on the second try, you will have to purchase the class again. Skills Check Policy: If you fail to show up for a scheduled skills check you will be charged a $50 instructor fee in order to reschedule.
